What you're buying

A custom adventure written and illustrated for one named child, based on information you provide. Each order produces either a printed book shipped to you, or a digital file you print yourself, depending on the product you chose.

The information you give us

We build your adventure from what you enter at checkout — your child's name, their age, their interests, descriptions of the hiding spots you've chosen, and where you intend to hide the treasure chest. Please check it carefully. We produce the book from those details as given, and see our refund policy for what happens if something was entered wrong.

You confirm that you have the right to provide the information you submit, including any photographs or images of your home or neighborhood, and that you have permission from a parent or guardian of the child the adventure is for.

Safety, and your responsibility for the hunt

This is important. You choose the hiding spots, and you are responsible for whether they are safe for your child.

We write clues pointing to the locations you describe. We cannot see your home, garden, or neighborhood, and we cannot assess whether a location is safe, reachable, or age-appropriate. Please do not choose spots that involve climbing, water, roads, tools, locked or enclosed spaces, neighbours' property, or anywhere you wouldn't be comfortable with your child going.

Adventures are intended to be run with adult supervision. You are responsible for supervising the hunt and for your child's safety throughout it.

Small parts. The relic pieces and the items supplied with the adventure are small and are not suitable for children under three years old, or for any child who still puts objects in their mouth. Keep them away from younger siblings during and after the hunt.

Ownership and use

Your adventure is yours to keep, read, print, and enjoy with your family. We retain copyright in the story text, artwork, and design.

You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially reproduce the book or files. Print-at-home files are licensed for your own household's use — please don't share them.

We may use non-identifying examples of our artwork and page designs to show what our books look like. We will never publish your child's name, your photographs, or your locations.

Pricing and payment

Prices are in US dollars. We may change prices at any time, but the price you paid at checkout is the price for your order. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout.

Age requirement

You must be 18 or older to place an order.

Limits on our liability

We take real care with every book, and if we get something wrong we'll reprint it free — see our refund policy. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising from how a scavenger hunt is set up or carried out, or from hiding spots you selected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
