How It Works

1. Tell us about your hero

You give us the essentials: their name, their age, and the things they're currently obsessed with. Those details aren't decoration — they shape the plot, the villain, the tone, and the ending.

You also pick the world: lost pirate treasure or the unicorn realm. Each has its own guide character, its own relic, and its own artwork.

2. Show us where the adventure happens

This is the part that makes it feel real. You upload a photo or screenshot of your home, yard, or neighborhood and mark the spots where relic pieces can be hidden — behind the shed, under the third stair, inside the blue mailbox. Then you describe each one, and tell us where you'll hide the treasure chest.

We build the hunt around those exact places. When your child reads a clue, it points to somewhere they genuinely know.

3. We write, illustrate, and print the book

Every adventure is written from scratch — not assembled from a template with a name swapped in. Your child is the named hero. The story is set in your locations. The artwork is made for this book and no other.

Then it's printed and bound as a real book, with the relic pieces and the treasure chest packed alongside it.

4. It arrives at your door

Because every book is written, illustrated, and printed to order, there's a production window before your parcel is dispatched. You'll get tracking as soon as it ships.

5. Hide the pieces and let them go

Set the relic pieces in the hiding spots you chose, and put the chest where you told us. Each piece is found by solving the clue before it.

Here's the part children remember. The eight pieces are not the prize — they're the key. Each one carries part of a symbol alphabet, so the full alphabet only exists once every piece is seated. When the eighth locks in, the relic opens and there's a physical key inside. One page of the book is written in those symbols; decoded with the assembled relic, it says where the treasure chest is. The key opens the chest.

Both are needed. The message without the key gets them to a locked chest. The key without the message leaves them nothing to open. And no single piece gives away the alphabet, so the hunt can't be short-circuited.

Common questions

What ages is this for?
The reading level and puzzle difficulty are set from the age you give us, so the clues stretch your child without frustrating them.

Can I choose the theme?
Yes — pirate treasure or the unicorn realm. More worlds are coming; if there's one you'd like to see, tell us.

Do I need to buy or print anything else?
No. The book, all eight relic pieces, and the treasure chest arrive ready to use. You choose where to hide them.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States only. If you're outside the US, the print-at-home adventure is available anywhere — you print it yourself, so there's nothing to post.

Is there a faster option?
Yes. The print-at-home adventure skips printing and postage entirely.
