We're Parents Too. Here's How We Protect Your Family.
You're trusting us with a photo of someone you love and the street you live on. Here's exactly what we collect, why we need it, and what we'll never do with it.
We never sell your data. Ever.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. We don't rent it, trade it, or use it for marketing. Your family's information is used to make your book and nothing else.
We only ask for what the book needs.
Your hero's first name and age, one photo of their face, and photos of the hiding spots you pick. No last name, no birthday, no school. Nothing else about them.
Their photo has one job.
It paints their portrait on the cover so the hero of the story looks like them. It never appears in our ads, on our website, or on social media. Not without your written permission, ever.
Deleted 30 days after delivery.
Your hero's photo, your hiding-spot photos and their location data are permanently deleted from every system we use 30 days after your book arrives. That window exists only in case your book needs a reprint. Want them gone sooner? Tell us.
Your street stays private.
Hiding-spot photos carry location so we can draw your street map. We strip that location data from every photo as soon as the map is drawn. The map lives in your book and your guide, and nowhere else.
AI that never learns from your family.
We use AI tools to help write your story and paint your cover. We only use tools whose terms forbid training on your photos or details, and your information is never used to build or improve anyone's AI.
You're always in control.
Ask what we hold about your family, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. One message through our contact page does it, and we'll confirm within 7 days that it's done.
If something ever goes wrong, you hear it from us.
If your family's information is ever exposed, we'll tell you directly within 72 hours of finding out, with what happened and what we're doing about it.

A parent says yes first
We only take a hero's photo from a parent, grandparent or guardian, who confirms they're allowed to share it before it's uploaded.

Why do you need a photo of my hero?
To paint their portrait on the cover, so the hero of the story actually looks like them. One clear daylight photo of their face is all we need.
Who can see my hiding-spot photos?
You, our two founders, and nobody else. They're used to write your clues and draw your map, they're never published, and they're deleted 30 days after your book arrives.
Do you share my address?
Only with our printer, our shipper, and the service that mails your hero's two guide letters, so everything reaches your door. Never with anyone else.
Will you ever post my hero online?
No. We never post a customer's photo, book, or street anywhere without written permission from you first.
Do you use AI on my hero's photo?
Yes, to paint the cover portrait. We only use AI tools that are contractually barred from training on your photo, and the photo is deleted from every system 30 days after delivery.
How do I get my family's data deleted?
Send us a message through our contact page. We'll delete everything we hold about your family and confirm within 7 days.
